Retro for Work

Retro work wear

My mom took this pics for me when I came home from work and she was leaving after babysitting my daughter. We thought the tree backdrop would make it very junior prom, yes? I have been into dressing up a little for work, even though every time I do someone remarks on it. It's funny: I dress partly for myself, partly for others, but when people notice the effort, I often feel self-conscious about it!

One of my neighbors works on a photography project for our neighborhood and asked if she could take one of me. I was Tuesday's photo of the day! I actually really like one of the outtakes she didn't use, one of my mom and I:

  4. Did we get that cardigan together at the Nordstrom Rack in San Leandro or wherever? It's cute! Nice professional alteration on the dress too, fits you perfectly.

Samira: Isn't that a cute shot of us? My neighbor is a good photographer!
I think I got this cardigan at the Mall of America, but I did get a brown eyelet cardigan at the San Leandro one that I still have. I am pretty sure both of these were $5, so, yay!
